Always adding new products to the store but some much more can be added. It takes so much time to find suppliers for local organic products. Next week we will have Sunny Boy cereal and some of their other products. These are produced in Camrose, Alberta - 74 kilometres.

Earth's General Store is going to experience a change in our staffing - Bree-Anne is going to take a summer job as an assistant cook at a logging camp (she works full time at the store) and Jacqueline and Maria have taken on some other projects that will reduce their availability to work at the store. Deborah has hired a young woman, Hannah, as a staff member but it takes quite a while to get a person up to speed.

I am always proud of the books that we offer. We have the largest selection of books on vegetarian cooking, vegan cooking, raw food, organic gardening, composting - than anyone else in Canada. Information brings about change and one of the best choices that people can do for the planet is to choose a more plant-based diet.

You might have noticed that the books we carry focus with food issues, home energy efficiency/green home building, paradigm shift (rethinking and doing), transportation, food security/food preparation/food production, and parenting. These are some of the cornerstone issues of our time and when we can adjust our beliefs, actions, and way of being in the world we can help evolve the world to one where all earthlings and the planet is respected - present and future.

Today we will be receiving our first order of bread - organic, local, fresh. Come and break bread with us. Over the next month we will be adding breads from a variety of local organic bakeries.
