Attended the Canadian Health Food Association 'Expo West 2010' conference this weekend. Big show. On Thursday I took part in a bus tour of Avalon Dairies (the company that still puts their organic milk in glass bottles), Horizon Distributors (supposedly the largest distributor of organic/natural products in Canada and I had the extreme pleasure of meeting Erin Jane, Terri Newell and Liz Mahoney), and then a tour of Whole Foods on Cambie (huge store). On Friday I attended a couple of workshops and in the afternoon I took the train out to Daiya (ww.daiyafoods.com) to pick up some of their product and visited Karmavore (vegan store). On Saturday I attended the trade show component of the conference and met several of our supplier and made new contacts - and got to meet Erin Jane again (I don't think I could get tired of that). She took exceptional care of me and ensured I met some of her favourite suppliers. I also spent time with Sabine from the Ruddy Potato and she shared some of her knowledge about the computer Point of Sale system we both use.

On Sunday I headed to the airport early to catch up on some reading and work. Hope to see you all this coming week.
