Yesterday I spent a very pleasant hour with Liane Faulder from the Edmonton Journal. We were sampling menu items at Mill Creek Cafe that use Daiya Cheese (a vegan/lactose-Free cheese product made in Vancouver) instead of the usual cow cheese. Grilled Cheese sandwich, Margarita Pizza, Quesadilla, and Grilled Vegetable sandwich - Yum! People that are lactose intolerant can also order the meat/fish menu items that regularly incorporate cheese with the Daiya option.

Mill Creek Cafe charges a $2 surcharge for the Daiya option.
