Earlier this spring I started some seedlings of Maridolds and Calendula so that I could plant them in the boulevard on Whyte Avenue - to brighten it up. I cared for these seedlings for many weeks and last Sunday I spent about 6 hours planting and watering them. Unfortunately I failed these plants. I did not put up a barricade or signage to alert the city crews that they were there (which I had planned to do yesterday and failed to do so and it was on my list of thigns to do today).

Unfortauntely when I arrived at work this morning the city had a couple of crews out to cut down the 20 trees in the boulevard but it appears that they had also sent out a crew earlier to cut the grass. They cut down almost 100% of the marigolds and most of the calendula.

I will try and figure out something to resolve this.
